Preserved samurai wonders on the West Coast
Kanazawa is a city in Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan. In its prime, the Maeda Clan's feudal power and agricultural improvements rivaled those of the great cities of Kyoto and Edo (now Tokyo). Today, Kanazawa boasts fresh seafood as a port city, a fantastically preserved old town tea district, striking art museums, and one of Japan's three best Japanese gardens.
