Orientation Day Tours

Our Orientation Day Tours are designed to help groups new to Tokyo acclimate. These tours provide structure, practical instruction (using the train, ordering at restaurants), and a deeper understanding of Japanese culture. We recommend booking them for the first few days of your trip. All day tours include a private English-speaking guide.

Reservations can be made at least four days before the intended tour.

Tours are given seasonally from March - June and September - November.

6 - 8 Hour Day Tours

Starting at $100 per person. Our tours feature a dedicated private guide with in-depth local knowledge, providing exclusive insights. They are designed to cultivate a richer appreciation of Japanese culture. Orientation tours are perfect for solo travelers, couples, and families with kids. Each tour is custom-designed from a pre-set list of attractions. The typical tour day starts at your hotel lobby, visits two to three major sites (distance dependent), and makes plenty of breaks for coffee, snacks, and lunch. Food is not included, but your guide can advise you on things to try.

4 - 6 Hour Day Tours

Starting at $75 per person. Shorter Orientation Tours are perfect for travelers looking for a little bit of guidance and then the ability to explore on their own. These tours will start in your hotel lobby and will visit one to two destinations. The price includes a knowledgeable guide, local information, traveler tips and tricks, and is fully private. This is also a great way to learn some easy Japanese for the rest of your trip! Food is not included; however, coffee stops are highly recommended.

Day Tour and Itinerary Combo

Maximize your Japanese adventure with our package deal! We offer a personalized itinerary and a discounted orientation day to ensure you feel confident and comfortable from the start. Allow Momiji Travel Agency to organize and introduce your trip and then send you off on your adventure. All travelers will have Momiji's help desk for any concerns during their trip.

The 2-week itinerary and one 4-6 hour orientation day tour are $200 per person*.

*Minimum requirement of 2 people.

**Family pricing or large group pricing (2-10 people) is $150 per person.
